Nordic Molecular Medicine Network (NMMN)
The Nordic nodes within the EMBL Nordic partnership in Molecular Medicine are supported by Nordforsk for a Nordic Network of National Centres of Excellence (NCE). This network “Nordic Molecular Medicine Network” (NMMN) promotes collaboration and exchange between the three NCE/Nordic nodes FIMM, NCMM, DANDRITE, MIMS and EMBL.
The establishment of the network is an important part of the Nordic EMBL partnership and essentialZ< to promote sustainable long term collaboration. The overall aim of NMMN is to promote collaboration between the nodes of the Nordic partnership and EMBL and the NMMN will meet annually where the three nodes are alternating as hosts. The first meeting took place in Umeå/Lycksele 29.8.-1.9.2010 and the second meeting took place in Helsinki 29-30.09 2011. Our third NMMN network meeting took place in Barcelona, 17-19 September 2013 the fourth network meeting was hosted by NCMM in Oslo, Norway.
The fifth network meeting took place in Umeå 26-28 August in Umeå. More information here.
The sixth NMMN meeting was hosted by DANDRITE from 8 - 10 September 2015.
The NMMN network will also provide support to PhD students and postdocs for travel to the other partners and EMBL for collaborations, workshops and courses.
