A Novel Sample Preparation Technology for Tissue

Wednesday, February 22, 2012 12:00 - 15:00
This event does not repeat

We have the pleasure to invite you to a seminar

A Novel Sample Preparation Technology for Tissue

The presentation will cover a new technology which enables you to

• Prepare your sample without risk of degradation

• Discover novel proteins and peptides

• Preserve the original state of your sample

Proteases and other protein-modifying enzymes rapidly change the protein composition in a newly excised tissue sample. Consequently, analytical results reflect a mix of the true in vivo proteome and ex vivo degradation products. This can lead to variation between samples or misleading conclusions since vital information about the 'pre-sampling' state may be destroyed or distorted.

The Stabilizor® T1 tissue stabilization system eliminates this problem and preserves sample quality without any additives. After stabilization, samples can be analysed using standard protein and peptide analytical downstream techniques.

Speaker/Presenter

Mats Borén, Head of Development and Beatrice Orback, sales engineer.
